Kagami Nakayama

Important Notes

Kagami has a condition similar to “blunted affect” where she often seems to barely express emotions, with the exception of when those emotions reach a certain threshold where they seem to explode out of her. This apparent apathy or indifference has caused many misunderstandings in Kagami’s life, which she tries to offset by being as specific (and sometimes formal) as she can while speaking.

As a teenager, being worn down by her poor communication skills led Kagami to having seemingly dull eyes. This dullness only left her expression when she felt like she was able to communicate her feelings in a way others understood. After making friends in high school, this dullness eventually disappeared from Kagami’s expression.

Kagami has a compulsion to feel something around her neck, and she spends most of the day with something covering her throat. As a teenager this led to wearing a scarf at almost all times, but as an adult Kagami shifted to wearing cloth chokers and collars, as they were less cumbersome.

Kagami can focus intensely on a task or interest, shutting out “distractions” while putting most of her mental energy into the focus of her attention. When she does express emotions openly, these emotions can be just as intense.

• Drawing (side hobby; used for games)
• Modding and developing games

Dislikes

• Situations where she can’t communicate her feelings properly or she creates a misunderstanding
