Blackstar Squad
A military thriller/drama set in a dystopian society where military might is considered the only important virtue of a good citizen, focused on a special forces squad of five women selected to perform important missions for their country. The incongruity between their role and their feelings about their government slowly erodes the confidence and hope of these women until they may only be able to rely on each other. At the same time, the disparity between the ideals of the nation and its actual effectiveness attracts the attention of those who would restore the glory of the country. With much of the government too preoccupied with frivolous wars to quell rebellious sentiments, the entire nation seems to be inexorably hurtling toward an explosion of violence. If no compromise is found, this society of warriors may end up fighting everyone, including its own.
