Kiku Moritani

Important Notes

Kiku often wears her hair in a braid from both temples that join at the back of her head. When in a hurry or in more casual situations, she lets this hair down, which does not noticeably alter the length of her hair.

Kiku has a youthful complexion, which sometimes can make her appear younger that she truly is. She is sometimes mistaken for being in the age range just below her current maturity. (For example, she looks like a middle schooler during high school.) However, when she gets angry or serious, she tends to look more her age.

Kiku tends to be warm and kind, giving the impression of a teacher or an older sister. She often behaves more mature than she is expected to be, which sometimes leads others to put more pressure or higher expectations onto her. When overwhelmed, Kiku will sometimes panic until she has a chance to catch up with what people want from her.

Story

Kiku Moritani is an only child, and from a young age she practiced with musical instruments rather than spend time with friends. She grew up being seen as a precocious prodigy, but this has caused many of those around her to assume she would always keep up with those expectations. Because of this, Kiku hasn’t always had the support she needed. Despite her hidden struggles, Kiku manages to be a role model and guide for her friends.

Note: The details of Kiku’s life vary across the different world states (storylines) of the games she appears in. Some common traits are:

• Having an ill-fated romance with an older girl during high school.
• Becoming friends with Himeka, Atsuko, and a few other girls during high school at Solana Academy.
• Moving to Akiramine to attend Rika University, become a recitalist, and eventually begin to teach music.
• Finally recognizing the unhealthy nature of the expectations placed on her and reorganizing her life to find peace and fulfillment.
