Yae does not eat solid food unless she must do so in a social situation. She also generally avoids beverages that include a lot of solid material.

Story

Yae Imai is a near-human yokai living in Akiramine. Her ancestors on her father’s side were rain spirits, and so she derives sustenance from rainwater and cannot digest most solid foods. She has spent her whole life concealing her supernatural nature, trying to live as if she were entirely human, which has led to keeping her distance from others–even her friends. This has left her with many shallow or transactional relationships. While she works as a janitor to pay her bills, her true passion is writing and singing for the indie punk rock band “Last Witness”.

Note: The details of Yae’s life vary across the different world states (storylines) of the games she appears in. Some common traits are:

• Having her nature be discovered by her bandmates, leading to the dissolution of Last Witness but ultimately leading to the creation of Storm on Your Peace.
